My Professional Background
What Makes Me Stand Out
I received my Masters degree (MS) in Clinical Mental Health from Eastern Washington University in 2022, after receiving a Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Washington in 2019. I offer therapy services both in-person and through Telehealth, for which I have certification through the University of Washington of completed competency. I Provide mental health services to clients of diverse populations and age ranges, from 6-60, covering a wide base of mental health issues including; ADHD, Adjustment Issues, Anger Management, Anxiety, Behavioral Issues, Body positivity, Conduct disorder, Depression, Grief/Loss, Life transitions, Multicultural issues, Phobia, Self-esteem, and Trauma/PTSD
Counseling Approach
My therapeutic modality includes utilizing a Solution-Focused approach to guide the client through freely expressing their mental health in a safe place to identify the patterns in their life that are helping or hindering the type of lifestyle they want to exhibit day to day, and how we can work together to best improve mental and physical wellness. The nature of my sessions tend to be calm and easygoing for clients to feel comfortable forging a trusting rapport with me.
Cultural Competence
As the only child of immigrants, and growing up as first generation in America I understand the importance of inclusiveness. Every individual has their own perceptions and beliefs, which may be different from those who come from other cultural backgrounds. I accept and celebrate both the differences and similarities between people, and my experience working with diverse populations has equipped me to be a culturally competent counselor. I recognize and respect the beliefs, perspectives, and values from every client from any particular race, religion, or creed.
